Alberta Fallen Paramedic Memorial Project

Alberta Fallen Paramedic Memorial

The EMS Foundation is proud to support the work of all EMS professionals by promoting innovation, research, and paramedic wellness, as well as providing community focused programs.

As part of our paramedic wellness initiatives, the Foundation proudly launched the Alberta Paramedic Memorial Project to create and install a permanent memorial in Alberta to honor EMS fallen members.

The Memorial project had the full support of Honorable Minister of Health, Senior Executives of Alberta Health Services, AHS EMS, and the Alberta College of Paramedics.

The project team worked collaboratively with the Alberta Government to select a site located on the Alberta Legislature grounds in Edmonton.

The EMS Foundation proudly announced the completion of the Alberta Paramedic Memorial Project at an official unveiling ceremony on Friday, June 14th, 2024. This beautiful monument, situated on the south lawn of the Alberta Legislature grounds, will now stand as a permanent memorial to honor fallen EMS members who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

We thank all who were able to attend this commemorative event. Your presence made this ceremony a special and poignant occasion which provided caring support to the friends and families of the fallen in attendance.

This page is dedicated to the new Alberta Fallen Paramedic Memorial and will be updated with new information as available.
