CHOICES is an injury prevention program designed for junior high school students.
The CHOICES program focuses on the three leading causes of injury in youth: motor vehicle collisions, sport and recreation incidents, and falls. It utilizes EMS case studies which demonstrate how injuries really occur. Throughout the presentation, Paramedic presenters focus on this reality: all of the examples highlighted were entirely preventable incidents. This real-world information is provided so they can make the CHOICES that avoid them falling victim to the same injuries, or even death, themselves.
